What is an open course?

A course that is scheduled in advance and for which participants from different companies can register. You can find the calendar, prices and registration page here. We do not prepare quotes for open courses.

What is an in-company course?

A course where you want a number of employees from your company to take the same course at your company (in-company). For in-company courses we prepare a tailor-made quote. After you agree with our quote, we schedule a date on which our trainer will deliver the course at your location. You can request a quote for an in-company course here.

What is an e-learning?

In an e-learning, digital content (smart magazines, videos, interactive texts, etc.) is used via our online platform. You do not have to follow this course at a fixed time and can schedule it whenever it suits you best.

How long is the login for an e-learning valid?

After registration you will receive a welcome email from Flowsparks. The content of the e-learning is available on our online platform from receipt of this email — depending on the type of e-learning — for the following period:

  • Knowledge test: 1 month
  • E-learning: 3 months
  • Masterclass AREI: 6 months

So be sure to check your spam folder and make sure you complete the e-learning within the validity period; your access will be automatically closed when it expires.

When I log in to the online platform (Flowsparks) I get the message "You are logged in to FLOWSPARKS, but there are no courses or activities made available to you".

This has two possible causes:

  • Your access has expired. Contact digitalacademy@vincotte.be
  • You are not using the correct link you received by email. You can only log in via that link.

Until when can I cancel a course free of charge?

  • For our classroom and online courses (i.e., courses with a pre-scheduled date) you can do so up to 10 working days before the start of the course (see also our general terms and conditions).
  • For an e-learning (i.e., online courses without a pre-scheduled date) it is not possible to cancel once you have completed the registration form via the website.

Can I register without a PO number?

Yes, if your company approves our invoices without a PO number.

If your company only approves invoices with a PO number, it must be entered at the time of registration. Any re-invoicing due to misleading and/or missing information at registration will be increased in accordance with our administrative terms.

I have lost my VCA certificate. Can I get a duplicate?

You can request a duplicate by email. You pay an upfront fee in accordance with our administrative terms, after which the duplicate will be sent. So keep your VCA certificate safe.

Your details are recorded in the Belgian Central Diploma Register VCA; for clients this entry can also be accepted as official proof.

Do I need to take a BA4 course before I can take a BA5 course?

It is not mandatory, but some prior knowledge is required when taking a BA5 course. It is therefore important that you have previously taken a BA4 course or already have experience in this field.

Which personal protective equipment do I need to bring to the course?

You can find this information in your confirmation email after registration and on the course information page.

How long are certificates or proofs of attendance valid?

B-VCA, VOL-VCA and VIL-VCU certificates are valid for 10 years.

Is the course I want to take eligible for subsidies?

If your company is not a shareholder of Vinçotte, then you are eligible for a subsidy.

When applying for the subsidy project, you must enter the registration amount (excl. VAT), which can be found on our website or in the confirmation email of your registration.

This application must be submitted no later than 2 weeks (14 days) after the start of the course.

What documents do I need to take a VCA exam?

An identity document issued by the government (ID card or driving licence).

Which certificates can I find in the central diploma register?

In the central diploma register (C.D.R.) of BeSaCC you will find all recognized certificates issued by Vinçotte Academy, in particular the VCA certificates (BASIC and VOL). You can consult the C.D.R. via BeSaCC. The central diploma register includes all certificates issued from 01/01/2010 onwards.

When and how do I receive the certificate for an e-learning?

After completing an e-learning, possibly with a knowledge test, you can fill in the evaluation form and download the attendance certificate.

When and how do I receive the certificate for a classroom training?

After processing the attendance lists, we send the attendance certificates by email.

When and how do I receive the certificate for a classroom training with an online knowledge test?

After passing the knowledge test, you can download the attendance certificate.

How do I request a quote for an open course?

For our open courses we use standard prices and we do not draw up separate quotes. You can find all available dates, locations and prices on this website. If you still need a quote, you can select the desired course here and, via the "More info" button, get a printable overview of the course that you can use as a quote.

Are our training locations suitable for people with a physical disability?

Yes, all our training locations are accessible to people with a physical or mobility disability.
