Basic VCA: Training and exam
Deze Basis-VCA veiligheidsopleiding op basis van het BeSaCC handboek leert u werkzaamheden voorbereiden, bespreken, inspecteren en uitvoeren. U leert specifieke risico's, gevaren, incidenten en noodsituaties beheersen. Na het slagen voor uw examen, ontvangt u het Basis-VCA certificaat.
For whom?
This training course is aimed at all staff members who carry out work within the scope of the activities for which VCA certification is required: at clients’ premises and at their own workplaces.
Course content
This training course covers the following aspects:
- The safety philosophy: risks, management and prevention
- Legislation, regulations, inspections and accident reports
- The work permit
- Risks and preventive measures relating to:
- Hazardous products and materials
- Fire and explosion
- Working in confined spaces
- Tools and machinery
- Handling loads
- Tripping, slipping and falling
- Working at height
- Electricity
- Welding and related activities
- Noise
- Signage
Objectives
VCA stands for Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors. It is a system developed to assess and certify contractors’ safety management systems in an objective and structured manner. The underlying principle is that a VCA certificate provides justified confidence that the company can and will carry out the activities for which it is certified safely.
Learning the basic principles of safety, focusing on the main risks encountered at work, and learning how to prevent accidents and manage risks.
Practical information
A course handbook will be provided for each participant.
Each participant who passes the exam will receive a VCA certificate that is valid for 10 years.
